If you’re tired of aimlessly wandering through the grocery store, forgetting crucial ingredients or overspending on groceries, I’ve got the solution for you! I created a super cute and free printable grocery list you can use to make your shopping trips easy and efficient.
This printable grocery list comes in 12 cute colors (including plain). It has pre-written categories for common grocery and household necessities. Perfect for staying organized while shopping for a big event like a party or get-together, keeping track of your most common purchased items, or for when you need to replenish your groceries after not shopping for a while.
Shopping with a list isn’t just for staying organized. A well thought-out list can also help you avoid overspending and buying unnecessary things. Combine this with the big grocery money saving tip that I’ll talk about in this post, and you’ll be keeping your wallet happy!
About your printable grocery list
SIZE: This grocery list is US Letter size (8.5″x11″). It can be printed on A4 paper as well, but the margins will come out slightly different. It may be able to print well on A5 if you prefer a smaller size. Choose “Scale to fit” and “Fill entire page” in your printer settings (I have not tested this yet).
CATEGORIZED: The grocery list includes common shopping categories to keep things organized. If you’re a vegetarian like me, you probably won’t be needing the meat category. I still like use it for soy or other plant-based meat alternatives.
PRINTABLE OR DIGITAL: If you prefer to plan digitally, you can load your grocery list into a digital note taking app and fill it in from there.
COLORFUL OPTIONS: There are 12 cute color options: Pastel rainbow, bright rainbow, neutral colorful, pink, yellow, peach, green, sky blue, pink lavender, blue, purple and plain. Pick your favorite one or use as many as you’d like!
PERSONAL USE ONLY: Print/use as many templates as you want, as many times as you want! For personal use only (selling or redistributing as your own is not allowed. Classroom/office use is fine!).
Ways to use your grocery list
This grocery list is quite big since it’s US Letter size. While some people may love shopping with a big and easy to read list, it may not be so convenient for others. Still, I’m sure this grocery list can help you! Here are a few fun ideas on how you can use it:
- Use it as a master grocery list. This is a grocery list that you create to keep track of all the most common things you shop for. It makes the perfect reference list for when you’re stumped on what to buy.
- Use it to plan your grocery trip for a party, special occasion or travel. These events often require much more careful planning than your usual grocery trips, so a big, categorized list can help you stay organized and efficient at the store.
- Fold it like a pamphlet so you can look at one section of the list at a time.
- Give it to your kids as a creative activity! Have them write their own grocery list and bring it along to the grocery store to check off the items you put in your cart. Super fun idea, right?
I recommend displaying your grocery list in the kitchen for easy reference! Either post it on your fridge with a cute magnet (I love this simple & colorful magnet pack), or display it on your countertop using this adorable standing clipboard that doubles as a dry erase board!

Easy way to save money while grocery shopping
Who doesn’t love a good sale or coupon while shopping? If you’re looking to save more, I highly recommend signing up for Ibotta.
Ibotta is a free (and totally legit) app that lets you earn cash back while shopping at your favorite stores. Essentially, you can MAKE money by purchasing products you’d normally get!
So, how does it work?
When you sign up, you can choose the retailer you’ll be shopping at and look through their offers. Ibotta has tons of top retailers on their app to choose from (Walmart, CVS, Ulta just to name a few. There are so many more, so you’re sure to find deals that work for you).
Once you find items you like that have cash back offers, simply check them off in the app. When you’re done shopping, upload a picture of your receipt to the app and you’ll earn cash back for those items!
Once you’ve earned $20 cash back, you’ll be able to cash out directly to your bank account, PayPal or gift cards. Cool, right?
I highly recommend checking it out and getting acquainted with the app. It’s super easy to use, and the cash back offers really add up.
I usually earn about $5 or more per grocery trip, so I’m able to cash out after just 4 trips! This is coming from someone who only shops for two, so you’ll likely earn much more than I do if you have a bigger family.
Click here to sign up for Ibotta. Make sure to use my referral code to get $10 just for signing up: yryidqi. You’ll only get the $10 with a referral code, so take advantage of it so you can cash out faster if you’d like!
